BLU’s hospitality suites will be at the LAX Embassy Suites North Hotel.
Except for those who are flying in late Friday night, this will be your place to meet up with us.
(The suites are available as early as Thursday afternoon (between 3 and 4 pm) for those who are arriving early.)
To get to the hotel from the airport, once you’ve retrieved your bags, head out to the curb at LAX, and look for the red signs marked “Hotel and Courtesy Shuttles.” You’ll be looking for a blue shuttle with a scrolling marquee with the Embassy Suites, Sheraton and Courtyard names on it.
Take the shuttle to the Embassy Suites North (please note, there are two Embassy Suites near the airport… make sure to go to the Embassy Suites “North”)
On your way to the hotel, check your phone, if we get the information early enough, we will text and/or email the room number of the suite.
We’re hoping for 1st floor rooms this year, so you’ll be able to walk right up to the room.
If you don’t receive the room number, once you arrive at the hotel, stop at the front desk and ask for the room under my name “Jeannette Bronson” or under “BLU”
You can also call us at 323-739-4258 if you have any problems. (I will also email you the name and phone number of our transportation coordinator by Wednesday night, so you can call her directly. She will be at or near the hotel.)
If you arrive on Thursday at the hotel before we check in, just relax in the lounge until we arrive.
If you are arriving on Thursday night, relax with the sistahs in our suites, get a good sleep, get up and have breakfast (free at the hotel).
We anticipate many women sleeping in the room (there are 2 queen size beds, queen sized pull out couch and we’ll ask for a cot or two), so it will be an old fashioned slumber party! We will actually have up to 3 rooms, given the number of women who will be arriving on Thursday.
On Friday morning, we will start shuttling sistahs to the retreat as early as possible, maybe as early as 8am.
We will know more as we get closer to the event. Our drivers will continue to return to the hotel and shuttling women until everyone is on the land.
For those who are coming on Friday, follow the same directions to the hotel, call up to the rooms when you arrive… we will be checked in until 2pm. After that, you’ll just meet up with our crew in the lobby.
Make sure to verify with our travel coordinator the date and time of your return flight, so we can begin to plan your return shuttle rides back to the airport.
The events on Monday are scheduled to end at noon, but our plan is to get everyone to the airport in time for their flights, so some may have to leave earlier than noon to make it! (The schedule will be posted in the registration office by the 2nd afternoon of the retreat.)
The cost will be $75 per person, round trip.
